About The Firm

Group Heads typically work with a Copy/Content/Code partner (ACC). The ACC team is responsible for executing the creative and marketing strategy for all projects. Group Heads manage and direct the work of production design staff, external creative resources such as illustrators, photographers, and video/multimedia providers. They must possess written and presentation skills and reports directly to the ACD. Group Heads are responsible for end to end project delivery where assigned as ACC-Project Manager.

Areas of Accountability

  • Establishes visual tone, character, and messages that will effectively communicate with the target audience and fulfil the project objectives.
  • Responsible for the proper placement, context and meaning of every image and graphic element within a creative assignment.
  • Mentors team designers by providing inspiring direction for both projects and long-term professional growth.
  • Assists the ACD and peers in vendor sourcing and management. Assist ACD/AD to define and assembles all necessary content assets with the creative staff.
  • Works as ACC-PM on projects assigned to ensure all deliverables and deadlines are met within budget and quality.
  • Works as a team member on projects assigned along with the assigned ACC – PM of the respective project to ensure all deliverables and deadlines are met within budget and quality.
  • Seeks approvals from ACD/AD on all work before delivery to Account or Client.
  • Participates in brainstorming for the core idea/ideation that meets client’s brand objective
  • Assists in developing presentation materials for existing projects and business development needs.
  • Assists ACD/AD in presenting work to client.
  • Collaborates with other creative staff to share learning and experience and to establish initiatives that will improve IA’s creative product.
  • Partners with all vertical counterparts to enhance quality, productivity, and profitability of the group’s work.
  • Inculcates and promote IA values in every thought and action which will contribute to overall office morale, spirit, character and work quality.


  • Must possess at least 4 years’ experience as a group head/associate creative director with a digital agency or web development firm.
  • Proven highly versatile design skills. Portfolio necessary – should have live projects included.
  • Working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, HTML/JS/CSS and Dreamweaver (or other html editing software).
  • Familiarity with Power Point or Visio is also desirable.
  • B.A. in graphic design, Communication Arts, or equivalent.
