Creating leadership capacity in the education sector. The Piramal Foundation for Education Leadership (PFEL) works in 3400+ schools across 5 states benefitting more than 5,60,000 children. PFEL believes that there is a need for inculcating the 'right' mindsets, leadership skills and imparting relevant knowledge to school principals, in order to positively impact the quality of education in public schools.

This role is open in the following locations:

  • Rajasthan – Jaipur, Udaipur
  • Gujarat – Surat, Baroda, Ahmedabad
  • Mumbai
  • Delhi

Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills

Essential Qualifications:

  • Masters or MBA (preferably Operations Management)
Essential Experience:
  • Experience in managing and leading operations in diverse sectors (corporate/sales/development org); preferably a hands-on experience in core operations in education sector delivery
  • 12-15 years of experience in leading teams of professionals by visioning/ developing/ conceptualizing and executing core operations
  • Strong stakeholder management experience and professional networks
  • Experience of working across geographies in India
  • Conceptualize and drive projects/businesses that directly increases organization’s growth/engagement
  • Proven ability to adapt to changing and dynamic environments
  • Experience working on transformation/change projects and initiatives

  • Data driven to isolate opportunities to optimize features and grow user base
  • Collaboration across verticals and levels within the organization
  • Strong connect and communication skills with community stakeholders

  • Multitasking with understanding of Six Sigma approach, 7S Framework etc.
  • Understanding of education domain preferable
  • Association with advocating for systemic change at state would be an additional advantage

Key Roles & Responsiblities

  • Leading hard-core operations at the ground with stakeholders of schools and for fellows and driving strategic outcomes [750-1000 public schools, 150 fellows, 5-6 program managers]
  • Leading technology-based intervention, assessment-based intervention with 750-1000 schools across a range of school processes
  • Team building, people management and talent development
  • Effectiveness and efficiency in operations through Six-Sigma thinking and similar approaches
  • Defining metric based framework for governance mechanism of ops and course correction
  • Generating insights from field and establishing needs before relevant centres
  • Collaboration with different centres and teams and integrating relevant/need based interventions in to operations to create sustainable impact
  • Organisation strategy synthesizing and implementation via strong processes and technology

Reporting Structure

Role directly reports to:

  • Operations Head, State of Zone
Positions that report into this role:
  • Program Managers, Operations – Team of 5-10; with reporting of 5-6 people into each PM
